Strathclyde Transcription Development 305S w. SME series 3 tonearm

One of the marques to spring from the AR fold , along with Linn , Systemdek , Ariston , Dunlop , Syrinx Precision Instruments and Fons .
Very similar to LP12 setup , has suspended sub-chassis to isolate main bearing/platter and arm from the plinth , where motor is mounted . Uses same motor . Has aluminium pulley , sub platter and platter .
Can be upgraded to use one of the Linn motor controllers .
Fitted with SME 3009 series 3 tonearm . The tonearm that was the late Stereophile editor Art Dudley’s reference tonearm for over 10 years .
Both the arm and deck are in an absolutely immaculate like new condition .
