The Dynavector P100 is a revered, vintage solid-state phono preamplifier manufactured from the late 1990s to the early 2000s. Built as a full-width chassis with a cult following, it features a fully passive RIAA stage and is effectively designed as two separate phono amplifiers in one box.
Core Specifications & Features:
- Inputs/Outputs: Separate inputs and outputs for Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges. This design allows it to accommodate two turntables or a deck with dual tonearms simultaneously.
- Gain: Fixed at approximately 58 dB. Because of the passive RIAA, gain is slightly lower than some modern alternatives, which can sometimes be a challenge with extremely low-output MC cartridges.
- Loading: Factory MC loading is set internally to 100 Ω without external switches (changing it requires soldering resistors).
- Power: Features a proper built-in power supply rather than a wall-wart.
